The mid-2017 iMac comes equipped with a “Kaby Lake” Intel Core i5 processor with two single independent cores. On board, it has got 8 GB (2133 MHZ DDR4) SDRAM, which can be later on upgraded if needed. The hard drive is 256 GB SSD. The optional version is ‘Fusion’, which includes a 1 TB hard drive and 32 GB SSD.

The screen of the iMac is IPS. The display features anti-reflective glass that is laminated to the matrix and features a patented anti-glare coating. The rear case is made of aluminum. It appears thicker in the middle, and gets narrower to the edges, tapering razor-thin.

The connectivity of the mid-2017 iMac includes four USB ports (3.0), and dual Type-C USB ports (Thunderbolt 3). Also, it employs Bluetooth 4.2, 802.11 Wi-Fi, and Gigabit Ethernet.
