The iMac 2024 – M4 (4.5K Retina) was announced by Apple in October 2024, featuring the powerful M4 chip and Apple Intelligence, in its stunning, ultra-thin design. The iMac 2024 – M4 (4.5K Retina) delivers up to 1.7x faster daily productivity, and up to 2.1x faster for demanding workflows like photo editing and gaming, compared to iMac with M1.
The M4 chip represents a significant leap in performance with its 10-core CPU (up to 4 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores) and up to a 10-core GPU. The chip is built on second-generation 3-nanometer technology, delivering incredible performance and power efficiency. The M4 also includes an enhanced 16-core Neural Engine, capable of 38 trillion operations per second, making it perfect for AI and machine learning tasks.

With the Neural Engine in M4, iMac is the world’s best all-in-one for AI and is built for Apple Intelligence, the personal intelligence system that transforms how users work, communicate, and express themselves, while protecting their privacy. Apple Intelligence brings powerful writing tools, image generation capabilities, and enhanced Siri functionality, all while maintaining on-device processing for maximum privacy.

The new iMac is available in an array of beautiful new colors including blue, green, pink, silver, yellow, orange, and purple. Each color extends to the matching Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad, and the color-matched USB-C cable. The 24-inch 4.5K Retina display offers a new nano-texture glass option that dramatically reduces glare and reflections, making it ideal for bright environments or spaces with multiple light sources.

iMac features a new 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View, up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports for high-speed connectivity, and color-matched accessories that now include USB-C. The six-speaker sound system with support for Spatial Audio and the studio-quality three-mic array ensure exceptional audio quality for video calls and content consumption. Starting at just $1,299, now with 16GB of unified memory standard, the new iMac became available on November 8, 2024.
